Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa

• Born: January 1, 1969, in Kofar Mazugal, Dala Local Government Area, Kano State, Nigeria.
• Parents: His father was the renowned Islamic researcher and scholar Sheikh Ibrahim Muhammad "Mai Tafsiri," and his mother was Hajiya Sa'adatu Al-Mustapha.
• Quranic Education: He memorized the entire Quran at a young age, around 14 to 15 years old, studying under several local Islamic teachers in Kano.

Education

• Secular and Modern Studies: He attended primary and secondary schools in Kano, later studying Mass Communication at Bayero University Kano (BUK) and earning a diploma in computer data processing.
• Islamic Sciences: He spent decades studying under numerous prominent scholars, including Sheikh Usman Gwammaja (whom he studied under for 20 years), Sheikh Abubakar Basakkwace Qoqi, Dr. Ahmad Bamba (BUK), and Dr. Aminuddeen Abubakar, mastering Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir, Arabic grammar (Nahawu), and Tawhid.

Career and Religious Work

• Da'awah and Preaching: He is a widely recognized Sunni Islamic preacher (associated with the Izala movement / Jama'atu Izalatil Bidi'a Wa'iƙamatis Sunnah) whose lectures and teachings are broadcast across Nigeria and neighboring West African countries like Niger, Togo, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire.
• Hisbah Corps Leadership: He is heavily tied to the Kano State Hisbah Board (the Sharia law enforcement and moral policing agency). He served as its Commander-General, resigned around 2019, and was reappointed as commander in 2023 by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
• Family: He is married with three wives and has nine children.
